No player account
You do not create an account or provide an email address to play. jjsdle does not offer account-based progress recovery, cross-device sync or a public player profile.
Local saves and backups
The app saves daily guess IDs and result grids, completion status, the current Unlimited round and preferences in localStorage under its own game namespace. Daily statistics are calculated from those local records. JSON exports contain this same progress and stay on your device until you choose to move or share the file.
Importing a backup validates it in your browser and asks you to confirm replacement. Clearing progress affects this game’s save, not other sites. Browser settings, private browsing and storage restrictions can affect persistence. If storage is unavailable, progress is kept in memory for that visit and the game shows a notice.
Daily guesses are judged on the server
For daily play, your browser sends the puzzle ID, the sequence of guessed character IDs and the round’s Hard setting to this site’s judging endpoint. The endpoint checks the guesses and returns the currently unlocked clues and results. Requests for daily puzzles and progressively revealed portrait images also use the server.
The application does not create player-history records or an account-linked guess database. It recomputes a daily result from the supplied sequence. This does not mean there is no network processing: our hosting infrastructure receives ordinary request metadata, such as IP address, user agent, path, time and response status.
Cloudflare hosts the site and may process technical logs and security information under its own service policies. Error diagnostics and infrastructure logs are different from the game’s local stats. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Optional page-view analytics
When a valid dedicated Website ID and matching published host are configured, the app can load our self-hosted Umami script. It sends public page paths and hostname information. The app excludes local stats and settings pages, guess content, backup contents, query strings and hash fragments from its analytics payload. It respects the local analytics preference and Do Not Track.
Without valid configuration, analytics does not start. You can turn off new analytics events in Local settings. The preference stays in browser storage. The app does not call Umami’s user-identification API.
Storage and cookies are different
The game does not require an application login cookie. It does use localStorage to remember gameplay and settings. Hosting and security services may have their own storage or cookie behavior. These technical choices do not by themselves determine consent requirements in every jurisdiction.
Your controls
You can export a backup, replace a local save, clear jjsdle progress, opt out of analytics or remove site data through your browser. Because there is no player account, we cannot reconstruct a lost save for you.
